“Yeah, Bitch” – It’s the Golden Globes!

by indiaautry

Here are my top three things about the 2014 Golden Globes: Aaron Paul’s “Yeah, bitch,” pretty women & the man of the hour.

1. Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” revived the Jesse of yore, giving us one last “yeah, bitch!” as “Breaking Bad” won best TV drama. You could tell he felt it was a little uncouth for the event, but I’m glad writer and director Vince Gilligan and the other cast members encouraged him. I also think it’s awesome that, after Bryan Cranston won for best actor in a TV drama, he didn’t sit down, knowing that the show was going to win the next category.

2. So many pretty women and pretty dresses. I mean really, wasn’t it so good to see Julia Roberts, nominated for “August: Osage County,” looking beautiful, taking us right back to the 90s?.

And there were multiple pregnancy dresses, Olivia Wilde’s (below left) being my favorite.

3. Matthew McConaughey was the man of the hour. He did an awesome chicken dance onto stage when accepting the award for best actor in a drama from Jessica Chastain (who played along well) – a dance he later said he didn’t remember doing because he was so caught up in the moment.

McConaughey’s heartwarming speech in his charming Texas accent revealed how difficult it was to make “Dallas Buyer’s Club.” And he was for sure the best dressed man on the red carpet, in his dark green velvet suit jacket. He and his wife, who has played such a big part in his career, look stunning together on the E! 360 cam. He also stood out at the Palm Spring Film Festival earlier this month, as seen below.
